This was the final for my Color & Design class.

We had to create a CD of our choice, and then design the album artwork for it.

I chose Coachella 2007.

It really is the kind of thing you should see in person. It's meant to be held in your hands and each page opened one at a time...since it's almost like a children's book with the pop-up and cut-out business. I wanted it to have the DIY vibe. These pictures don't capture that as well as I would like. Although the imperfections of it were not intentional, I embraced them as part of the experience I wanted to create for the viewer. Texture is also a big part of that, and obviously you aren't going to be able to experience that through a photograph since you cannot touch it. But even with that said I think it is a playful, refreshing break away from all the oversaturation we have today with digital design and artwork.
